Trip to Vientiane Laos

Thai - Laos Friendship Bridge

Last weekend I went on a trip to the northeastern city of Thailand, Nong Kai. Nong Kai is on the border with Laos, along the Mekong River. In my trip to Nong Kai I got see many interesting things and also went into the capital city of Laos, Vientiane, just for the day. I took a strange open air taxi around town, similar to a Thai tuktuk. I saw a lot of historical places in Vientiane and got to take many photos. I am sure I will be sharing those with you too..

Chinese New Year in Bangkok

This past week Chinese celebrated their traditional New Year, this is also true for the Chinese living in Bangkok. I went to Bangkok's Chinatown and the celebration was huge with the Chinatown Gate ablaze in light and staged shows amusing the thousands of people attending. I was not disappointed with many things to see and do and EAT!
