Koh Lipe in the Andaman Sea

Koh Lipe Koh Lipe is very small tropical Island in the Andaman Sea near the Malaysia Border off the Thailand Peninsula.  It is an awesome place to go snorkeling and diving but it isn't easy getting to, mostly because of how remote the island is.  But once on the island the trip is worth it with awesome tropical beaches and warm waters.  And the most amazing marine life, easily visible with a snorkel and mask.  The island is mostly a protected marine park with restrictions on the size of boats allowed into the beaches.  You will have to transfer into small longtail boats from the ferry that takes you from the mainland to the island.  All of this is fun and quite an adventure.  While on the island you can either have a totally relaxing time in a small bungalow resort or ramp it up with days worth of snorkeling or diving in the most amazing marine environment - your choice!

At night you can be entertained by the most skillful fire-dancers in the world - at least at the time they seemed so - a great time was had by all!
